This paper introduces the application of staged mining method to optimize the open-pit boundary scheme inthe early stage of open-pit boundary design and early mining of a coal mine, which balances the stripping ratio in theearly stage of the mine, reduces the mining cost, realizes the early ore drawing and promotes the rolling development ofthe mine construction.
