China is the largest pork producer and consumer in the world,in the background of prohibition of antibiotic and African swine fever,it concerns people’s livelihood to ensure sustainable and healthy development of pig industry and meat safety. The key topic in swine industry is how to modulate the health of piglet, and enhance the swine productivity through scientific nutritional regulation.Clostridium Butyricum, which is resistant to the antibiotics, possess the trait of heat-resisting and acid-resisting as a new probiotic. The use of Clostridium Butyricum in feed can not only enhance the growth rate and the health of intestine for swine, but also decrease the use of antibiotics to reduce drug residues effectively. This article aims to summarize the character such as immunity regulation, maintenance of the stability of intestinal flora, secretion of nutrients of Clostridium Butyricum and the effect of the use of Clostridium Butyricum on the performance, intestine health, and immune function for piglets with a view to providing technical guidance on current piglet rearing.
