云南红河州发现小灵猫

Rediscovery of Small Indian Civet(Viverricula indica)in the Honghe Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province

小灵猫(Viverricula indica)是国家Ⅱ级重点保护野生动物。目前,小灵猫在云南的野外很难发现其踪迹,其分布和种群现状不清。2019年4月9日、5月22日,先后在云南省红河哈尼族彝族自治州个旧市、金平县发现2个不同的个体,这是对全国第二次陆生野生动物资源调查的有力补充,表明该地区仍有少量种群存留。建议将小灵猫的保护增补进《云南省极小种群物种拯救保护规划纲要》,加强国家公园(自然保护区)之外的边缘热带地区的野外调查力度,进一步加强野生动物保护法的宣传力度和执法力度。

Small Indian civet(Viverricula indica)is listed as national class-Ⅱkey-protected species of P.R.China.Records of this species in Yunnan Province are very rare,and its distribution and population status are unclear.We recorded two different individuals in Gejiu city and Jinping county,Honghe Hani&Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunan Province on 9 April,and 22 May 2019.These records support the 2nd Chinese Terrestrial Natural Resource Census,and indicate that there is still small population of V.indica living in this region.We recommend:(1)Addition of V.indica into Keynote of extremely small population species conservation in Yunnan;(2)Strengthening the survey effort in tropical edge regions outside of protected areas;and(3)Strengthening the education and enforcement of China's Wildlife Protection Law.
