英语集合表量构式建构的体验认知机制探析

Analysis of Embodied Cognitive Mechanism in the Structuring ofCollective Classifier Constructions in English

英语集合表量构式(a(n)/number+N1+of+N2)表述由若干个体构成的一个凝聚集体,其内部有常规及非常规量名搭配之分,从体验认知角度出发,探讨该构式内部成分的动态组合关系。研究发现,英语集合表量构式的内部搭配,从常规到非常规,具有连续性,由常规组合内部N1以原型为媒介对N2的范畴化,再到非常规搭配内原型跨域扩展经突显进行的再范畴化等动态认知过程实现。通过英语集合表量构式的体验认知解读,呈现体验认知的解释力,为相关表量构式研究提供体验认知解读的新视角。

English collective classifier construction(a(n)/number+N1+of+N2),as a cohesive collective made up of several individuals,is divided into conventional and unconventional collocations.From the perspective of embodied cognition,this paper explores the dynamic relation between the collocation of the internal components of the construction.The study finds that the internal collocation of the collective classifier construction is in a continuum from conventional to unconventional,which is realized through the categorization of conventional one where N1 categorizes N2 with its prototype as the medium,and the recategorization of non-conventional one where N1 recategorizes N2 with its prototype's cross-domain extension and the profiling.
