视译过程中时间-空间隐喻的具身加工机制 被引量:2

The embodied processing mechanism of spatio-temporal metaphor in sight translation

摘要 本研究采用视觉引导范式,考察视译过程中运动对时间视角的影响,探索时间-空间隐喻的具身加工机制。启动任务是视觉运动线索+汉语"来、去"运动句,探测任务是将英语时间歧义句译为汉语(其中的歧义词move forward既可译为"提前"也可译为"推迟")。结果显示:基线实验中受试将move forward译为"提前"的比例显著高于"推迟";启动实验中,不管是"来"方向还是"去"方向的启动,受试将move forward译为"提前"的比例均显著高于基线,启动效应非常明显。实验结果表明:1)受试将运动激活的具身体验投射到时间域,完成译文时间意义的构建;2)中国文化的习惯思维和认知方式使受试表现出对时间移动视角的偏好;3)视译过程中存在语境效应,"来、去"运动句语境影响受试对时间的感知。 The present study examined the embodied processing mechanism of spatio-temporal metaphor in sight translation through the influence of motion cues on temporal perspectives.In a priming experiment with visually guided paradigm,participants were instructed to read sentences describing motion in Chinese preceded by consistent visual cues and then translate orally an ambiguous temporal sentence from English to Chinese,which could be rendered either into tiqian(‘advance’)or tuichi(‘postpone’).The results revealed that significantly more participants translated the ambiguous time into tiqian rather than tuichi in baseline experiment and even more participants produced tiqian in the priming experiment,showing great priming effect.The results indicated that 1)participants constructed temporal meaning by projecting onto time domain their embodied experience activated by motion sentences;2)their preference for tiqian derived from cognitive patterns and thinking modes in Chinese culture;and 3)a contextual effect was found that the motion sentences with visual cues biased participants’perception of time.
