By criticizing the instrumentalist theory of human nature,Mumford clarified the complex relationship between technology and human nature,and put forward the concept of life-technology,and thought that life-technology is the release and expression from the rich potential of human beings,so it is a humanized technology.Life-technology centers on human life,involves culture,aesthetics,art,and invention,and has multiple attributes.With the development of human society,life-technology has gradually become instrumentalized and replaced by a mono-technology represented by mega-machine.
