Translation of Internet Soft News for External Publicity from the Perspective of Functionalist Translation

伴随着经济全球化以及新媒体的发展,网络外宣已成为国与国之间合作与交流的重要工具,在各国之间经济、政治、文化的宣传上发挥了重大作用。但是网络软新闻外宣翻译质量参差不齐,某些译文中存在着中式英语表达。这不仅不利于对外交流,而且大大削弱了宣传效果。功能主义翻译理论遵循目的性、忠实性和连贯性原则,在很多方面都有所突破,有助于对外交流。因此,该文分析了功能主义翻译理论对于网络软新闻外宣翻译的指导作用,希望为今后的网络软文外宣翻译提供帮助。

With the development of economic globalization and new media,online external publicity has become an important tool for cooperation and exchanges between countries,and has played a major role in the economic,political,and cultural publicity between countries,but the quality of the translation of Internet soft news is uneven,and some translations are in Chinglish,which is not conducive to external communication and also greatly reduces the publicity effect.Following the principles of purpose,fidelity and coherence,functionalist translation has made breakthroughs in many aspects,which is helpful for external communication.Therefore,this paper analyzes the guiding role of functionalist translation in the translation of Internet soft news for external publicity,hoping to provide help for the translation of Internet soft news for external publicity in the future.
