The article introduces in detail the design concept,control procedure and comprehensive properties study of the production process of 800 MPa grade 120 mm extra heavy plate SX780 CF for large-scale hydropower project.The results show that the extra heavy steel plate produced in Xingcheng Special Steel Works is of high cleanliness and excellent comprehensive properties,i.e.,good low temperature impact toughness,cold bendability and weldability,meeting the requirements of large-scale hydropower projects.
