A Review and Prospect of the Research on Liability of Foreignness

外来者劣势是对外直接投资领域的一个热点,是跨国企业在投资初期就需予以考虑的问题。为规避外来者劣势风险、实现跨国投资目标,洞悉外来者劣势产生的因素及其发展趋势具有重要的意义。文章先对外来者劣势的已有文献进行检索,给出外来者劣势研究的文献图谱;再从概念、维度、来源以及克服策略等方面梳理与回顾外来者劣势理论的相关研究,并根据文献概况图分析外来者劣势在对外直接投资中的研究趋势;最后,总结现有研究的贡献及不足,并指出未来潜在在研究方向。

Liability of foreignness is a hot issue in the field of foreign direct investment,which should be taken into account by multinational enterprises in the very beginning of investmnent,In order to avoid the risk of liability of foreignness and achieve the goal of cross border investment,it is of great significance to know clearly the factors of liability of foreignness and its development trend.In this paper,firstly the existing literature is searched and the literature Atlas of liability of foreignness research is given.Then from the aspects of concept,dimension,source and overcoming strategy.this paper reviews the relevant research on the theory of the liability of foreignness,and analyzes the research trend of the liability of foreignness in the foreign direct investment according to the literature overview chart.And,finally.it summarizes the contribution and deficiency of the existing research and points out the potential research direction in the future.
