The Unbroken Realities Architectural Reflections on Four Marketplaces in the"Cracks"Located on the Zhangmiao Street of Shanghai

文章通过对上海张庙街道四座"缝隙集市"的城市形态研究,阐述了上海缝隙集市形成的典型机制,由此对城市地理、历史、规划、政策、运营等多方因素累积形成的综合现实进行讨论,进而反思了建筑实践积极参与其中的可能性。

Through studying the urban forms of four marketplaces in the "cracks" located on the Zhangmiao Street of Shanghai,this paper elaborates on the mechanism of their formation.It sheds light on a complex reality of these marketplaces overlaid with urban geology,history,planning,policy-making,and programming.Furthermore,the article reflects on the possibilities of active participation of architectu ral practice.
