摘要
在印度的大学和教育机构里开展中文教育已有大约100多年的历史,但至今仍没有学者系统地对印度的中文教学进行过综合的介绍。虽然有一些学者曾经关注过印度中文教育的问题、挑战等,但是很少有人具体地关注中文学习机构的发展现状。一些学者也曾叙述过印度大学中的中文教学与研究,但是很少涉及印度私立机构和省级高校中的中文教学。对印度中文语言学习机构的发展,以及泰戈尔和谭云山先生如何互相协作建立里程碑式的中文学习机构——印度国际大学中国学院,对泰戈尔和谭云山共同事业的使命、目标和梦想,以及谭中先生如何继承父亲的事业进行探讨,意义重大。谭中先生已经90岁高龄,被公认为印度中文研究的元老,在过去的75年里培养了一代又一代的印度中文学者。近年来,一些新兴大学开始提供全日制和继续教育的中文课程,教授中文的大型和小型机构都开始兴起。在印度学习中文的主要瓶颈,一方面是基础的教学资料不足,另一方面是缺乏专业的中文教师。
Chinese has been taught in the Indian universities and institutes for more than a century,however no any comprehensive assessment on learning and teaching of Chinese in India has been made by the scholars till date.A few scholars have written about problem,challenges and scope of Chinese Studies in the country,but not much detailed focus has been given on the current developing situation of learning Chinese in India.Some scholars have given a narrative of teaching and researching of Chinese in the government funded Indian universities,but there has been not much research about teaching of Chinese in private institutes and state level universities in the country.In this paper,the authors have discussed in detail about the growth of the Chinese language centres in the country and how Tagore and Tan Yunshan collaborated with each other in establishing a monumental institute of learning Chinese which is known as‘Cheena-Bhavana’in Bengali.Mission,goal and dream of Gurudev Tagore and Tan Yunshan are deliberated upon in the paper and how the eldest son of Prof.Tan Yunshan carried forward the legacy of his father.The main bottleneck in learning Chinese in India is the lack of basic teaching materials on the one hand,and the lack of professional and qualified native Chinese teachers on the other.
