中外校际合作协议翻译中的“信”与“达”

Agreement of Sino-foreign intercollegiate cooperation involves academic exchanges,talent training,curriculum coordination,etc.Its translation requires preciseness and correctness,which plays a decisive role in the success of cooperation as well as the reduction and avoidance of misunderstanding and disputes among different cultures.The translation should be faithful and expressive because the agreement has its characteristics in terms of vocabulary,syntax and discourse.In practice,attention should be paid to the translation of synonyms and near-synonyms,the modal verb shall,long sentences,and passive voice as well.
