摘要
作为一套起源于西方的权力话语与制度方案,现代性从来都是地缘政治的产物,它是在与作为他者的非西方的参照中被西方话语所建构、想象和编撰的。现代性所蕴含的种种中心主义的宏大叙事,掩盖了普遍历史背后各历史主体间的异质性与差异性,取消了非西方他者的主体地位,使之沦为现代性规训的对象。这就是现代性的自我投射。在城市生活中,作为他者的各边缘群体同样遭遇着异化的命运,遭受着来自作为城市主体的中心群体的现代性投射的规训。恢复他者的主体地位,实现他者的城市权利,这就在城市生活中提出了城市革命的要求。
As a set of power discourse and institutional plan that originated from the West,modernity has always been a product of geopolitics.It is constructed,imagined,and compiled by the Western discourse in comparison with non-West as the others.The centralist grand narratives of the modernity cover up the heterogeneity and differences among historical subjects behind“universal history”,making them alienated from subjects to non-subjects and become the objects disciplined by the modernity.This is the self-projection of modernity.In urban life,the marginalized groups as the others encounter the same fate of alienation and suffer from the“discipline”of modernity from the central group of urban subjects.Restoring the others’subject position and calling on the others’“the right to the city”raises the requirement of the“Urban Revolution”in urban life.
