Reflections on the Faithfulness in Translation under the Ethics Dimension

翻译忠实原则是翻译研究中绕不开的话题,随着翻译行为研究层次的加深和翻译实践广度的拓展,传统的翻译忠实观遭遇困境。本文梳理传统翻译忠实观,分析当前忠实翻译原则遇到的困境,讨论翻译的伦理属性,基于伦理和道德范畴反思翻译忠实原则,以期从译者的角度为理解和把握忠实翻译原则提供一个新的思路,并更好地服务于翻译的健康发展。

Principle of Faithfulness in translation is a topic that can not be avoided in translation study.With the development of trans-lation research in depth and translation practice in wide scope,traditional Principle of Faithfulness has come across some bar-riers.This paper reviews the traditional Principle of Faithfulness in translation and analyzes the difficulties in applying the princi-ple and discusses the ethical nature of translation.In order to serve translation practice well,the paper,based on the Principle ofFaithfulness in translation under the dimension of ethics and morality,puts forward a new approach to understanding and maste-ring the principle from the perspective of translator.
