十笏园原系明代嘉靖年间刑部郎中胡邦佐的故宅,后易其主,临墙而居的潍县首富丁善宝购得这座园子,在旧宅的基础上稍作取舍,于光绪11年(公元1885年)增建亭榭、添构湖山,始得完美,因其地甚小,人喻之为“十个笏板”。清末状元曹鸿勋题名为“十笏园”。“十笏园”所在的这片地界儿,是潍坊城市文化的发祥地,在这弹丸之地曾出过两位状元,文脉之兴盛,可窥见一斑。
