Discussion on Engineering Characteristics of Soft Rock Material for Concrete Face Rockfill Dam

软岩料是指采用爆破、开采手段将软岩岩体破碎而得到的石料,规范将饱和无侧限抗压强度小于30MPa的岩石划分为软质岩。有效的利用工程开采料作为筑坝材料,不仅能降低工程造价,加快工程建设,保护生态环境,具有重大经济和社会效益。本文参照已建工程经验,探讨软岩筑坝料工程特性,为类似工程设计提供参考。

Soft rock material refers to the rock material obtained by crushing the soft rock mass by blasting and mining methods.The standard classifies the rock with the saturated unconfined compressive strength less than 30MPa as soft rock.Effective use of engineering mining materials as dam construction materials can not only reduce engineering costs,speed up engineering construction,and protect the ecological environment,which has major economic and social benefits.This article refers to the experience of existing projects to discuss the engineering characteristics of soft rock dam materials and provide references for similar engineering design.
