During his inspection in Shaanxi,General Secretary Xi Jinping made important remarks on the Spirit of Yan’an,which have given great insights into it and will guide us to carry it forward in the new era.We should strengthen the guiding role of the spirit amid the Party members to nurture their original aspirations and convictions.We should draw the strength of ideals from it,upholding our political belief in communism.We should use it as a benchmark to identify our deficiencies in“seeking truth from facts”to keep our political character,identify our deficiencies in“serving the people whole-heatedly”to maintain our political stand,identify our deficiencies in“working hard and live simply”to retain our political nature.To carry forward this spirit requires us to have the courage to carry out self-reform and steer our journey forward.As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the spirit is called for and needed ever more.
