数字普惠金融是否可以提高区域创新产出?——基于我国省际面板数据的实证研究

Can Digital Inclusive Finance Promote the Output of Chinese Regional Innovation?An Empirical Study Based on China’s Provincial Panel Data

普惠金融政策旨在为社会各阶层提供可负担的金融服务,自2016年杭州G20峰会以来,借助“数字”力量的普惠金融发展备受关注。将数字普惠金融指数与申请专利授权量相结合,评估数字普惠金融对区域创新产出的影响。基于全国样本,实证检验了数字普惠金融有利于区域创新产出的增加。根据我国区域分样本,发现这一推动作用虽然普遍存在,但东、中、西部三大地区有着明显的异质性现象。在进一步探索间接影响途径之后证明了数字普惠金融可以通过提高区域高等教育水平,完善基础设施建设和增加居民平均工资间接地促进创新产出。科技创新作为第一生产力,正受到我国普惠金融发展的深刻影响,此研究可为加强区域现代化建设提供参考。

Inclusive Finance policy focuses on providing affordable financial services to the poor and disad⁃vantaged people in China.Since the G20 Summit in Hangzhou in 2016,the benefits of Inclusive Finance with the aid of digital technology attract lots of attention.This paper combines the Digital Financial Inclusion Index of Chi⁃na and the provincial granted patent applications,estimates the impact of digital inclusive finance on the regional innovation output.Firstly,the empirical findings point out that the digital inclusive finance benefits on the promo⁃tion of regional innovation activity.secondly,in the analyses at the regional level,this paper finds that the east⁃ern,middle and western China have enjoyed increased innovation output,but at different levels.Lastly,this pa⁃per further explores the indirect influencing channels,which shows that the increased high-level education’s par⁃ticipation,advanced infrastructure construction and raised household average salary are three effective transmit⁃ting mechanisms.As the primary productive force,technological innovation activity has been deeply influenced by the development of digital finance.This paper provides advice to the future regional modernization in China.
