Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core,faced by the turbulent international situation and the arduous tasks of domestic reform,development and stabilization and sticking to the bottom line thinking,problem orientation and demand traction,has taken a series of major measures from strategic and global perspectives to effectively prevent and resolve the significant risks to national security.The major measures taken by the CPC to safeguard national security in the new era include:promoting theoretical innovation and putting forward the strategic thought of the overall national security concept;highlighting the top-level design and create new leadership system and mechanisms for national security;sticking to the people centrism and strengthening the people’s line of defense for national security;actively shaping,enriching and improving the national security system;and upholding the principle of independence to safeguard China’s sovereignty,security and development interests.These measures tell us that we should always follow the guidance of scientific theories,strengthen our national security awareness and overall thinking,shoulder our responsibilities for the people and uphold political and security lines,carry forward the spirit of struggle and enhance our ability to fight,and that the key to safeguard national security lies in the Party and the people.
