American Physical Society and the American Institute of Physics established Abraham Pais Prize for History of Physics in 2005. This article is a review of its award-winning works in 16 years. It is introduced from the discipline construction of physics history, the history of relativity and quantum physics, historical analyses of the roles of some experiments and research laboratories in physics, and also the biographical works of physicists. These award-winning works are path-breaking contributions to the history of physics. Multiple recipients of Abraham Pais Prize have gone from physicists to historians.
