摘要
《理解与评价应用语言学实验研究》依据实验设计、实验实施和统计分析构成的三位一体模型,系统阐述应用语言学实验研究的原理和方法,构建实验研究效度指标评价体系。该书的学术价值主要体现在实验设计、效度威胁控制以及统计学素养三个方面。外语教学研究者应充分把握每种实验设计的优缺点,将敏锐的效度威胁意识贯穿于整个研究过程,改善统计分析报告实践。
Bao Gui s Understanding and Evaluating Experimental Research in Applied Linguistics expounds the principles and methods of experimental research in applied linguistics in terms of the trinity model of experimental design,experimental administration and statistical analysis,thereby developing a system of validity indicators of experimental research.This article discusses the academic values of this scholarly work with respect to experimental design,control for threats to validity as well as statistical literacy.It is suggested that researchers in foreign language teaching should have a good grip of the strengths and limitations of each experimental design,maintain a keen awareness of threats to validity throughout the research process,and improve the reporting practice of statistical analysis.
