“翻译社会学”与“社会翻译学”:基于社会学的翻译研究之学科名称辨析

A Study on Naming the Sociologically-based Translation Studies in Chinese

从社会学视角切入翻译研究是20世纪90年代以来西方翻译学领域出现的新的研究范式。目前,基于社会学的翻译研究在我国国内已取得较大进展,但该研究领域内出现了"翻译社会学"与"社会翻译学"两个学科名称术语混用的现象,不利于其自身的发展。通过对目前国内外该领域中术语使用情况进行考察及分析,本文建议未来采用"翻译社会学"为其命名。术语的统一有利于学科的定位、建构及系统性发展。

The sociologically-based Translation Studies has emerged in the West since the late 1990s,and has made progress currently in China.However,an indeterminacy in naming this emerging subject has been detrimental to its own growth.After an in-depth analysis,this paper suggests adopting"翻译社会学"(Sociology of Translation Studies)as the name of the subject in the context of Chinese Translation Studies,which would be conducive to its orientation,construction,as well as its systematic development.
