摘要
奈保尔作品中的色彩大多以黑色调为主,他设置大量的黑色意象,铺设作品的黑暗基调。并用“黑色”与“白色”皮肤所形成的二元结构,客观呈现出第三世界的现状,采用反差色的视觉描写的建构策略,消解了白色人种的权威。探索了在二元对立背后所蕴含的文化认同问题,并否定了第三世界人民普遍存在的“模仿”式的文化认同倾向。
The colors in Naipaul’s works are mostly black. He sets a large number of black images to pave the dark tone of his works. The dual structure formed by "black" and "white" skins is used to objectively present the status quo of the third world. The construction strategy of visual description of contrasting colors is adopted to eliminate the authority of the white race and show that the people of the third world are the economic, political, and cultural gaps in the white European world. It explores the cultural identity problems behind the binary opposition, denies the "imitative" cultural identity tendency that prevails in the Third World people, and gives spiritual guidance to the marginalized people living in dire straits.
