In the use of gantry cranes,various faults easily occur,which leads to safety accidents.It is of great significance to prevent similar accidents by analyzing the accidents and finding out the causes of the accidents.Taking a gantry crane accident as an example,according to the crane accident elements,accidents are classified for preliminary analysis,problems are identified,reducer failures are discussed,and reasons are analyzed.Multiple inspections show that bearing failures are direct causes of reducer failure,and improper maintenance is the fundamental cause of such accidents.
