19世纪的商业化、大众休闲、城市新建推动现代性空间崛起。优雅华丽的拱廊街,琳琅满目的商品,不计其数的广告和图像,星罗棋布的咖啡馆、餐厅、舞场把现代城市转变为意象“星丛”。资产阶级以法规和秩序驱逐了传统市井生活的杂乱与喧哗,以拜物教“神话”把城市空间物化为商品和景观的“乌托邦”,这个精心设计和营造的制度化空间具有梦境的机制和梦幻的功能,并发挥着意识形态的效应。然而,景观和梦境篡夺了空间的真实性、抹杀了空间的意义,迷失和碎片化成为现代人空间体验的普遍状态,资产阶级对城市“空间结构”的秩序化、理性化构建和表征反讽地引发了现代人“情感结构”的紊乱和坍塌。
In the 19th century,commercialization,mass leisure and urban projects propped up the space of modernity.Elegant arcades,dazzling commodities,overwhelming advertisements and pictures,innumerous cafés,restaurants and ballrooms transformed the new space into constellations of images.The bourgeoisie dislodged the roaring and cluttering masses and imposed its rules and order;under the dogma of commercial fetishism,this class reified the urban space into a“utopia”of commodities and spectacles.The space of modernity had the mechanism of dreams,assuming the function of ideological interpellation,by which the realities and significances of the space were deprived,and people s spatial experience was rendered fragmented.The regularization and rationalization of the“urban space structure”by the bourgeoisie ironically caused the disruption of the“feeling structure”among the masses.
