As the business negotiation between China and the US was undergoing ups and downs,Liu Xin,an anchor from China Global Television Network(CGTN)joined the prime-time TV program hosted by Trish Reagan of Fox Business Network,airing her opinions to the American audience through satellite connection on May 30,2019.According to the frame theory,this paper,carrying out the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the conver⁃sational text and the quantitative statistics of the key words,reveals the conceptual frame and linguistic perfor⁃mance implied behind their talks.In conclusion,Trish Reagan mainly adopts the frame of difference and conflict in her talk,highlighting the competition and opposition between China and the US while Liu Xin,adhering to the interpretative and cooperative frame,aims at bridging the differences and resolving the contradictions to focus on the win-win situation.
