《材料测试与表征》全英文教学的探索与思考

Exploration and Consideration of All-English Teaching in Materials Characterization and Measurement Course

《材料测试与表征》是材料学专业研究生的必修课程之一,内容涵盖材料形貌表征、结构分析和组成确定等众多方面。该课程全英文教学有利于培养研究生前沿的材料研究方法和学术思想,提高研究生的专业英语以及英语阅读/写作能力。结合笔者近几年多门材料相关课程全英文教学实践的经验,本文从《材料测试与表征》课程特点出发,着重探讨了该课程全英文教学的必要性及其实施过程中遇到的问题。在此基础上,提出了可行的解决措施,期望为其他课程全英文教学的顺利开展提供参考。

“Materials Characterization and Measurement”is one of the compulsory courses for graduate students majoring in material science,which covers many aspects such as materials morphology characterization,structure analysis and composition determination.The exploration of English teaching in this course is conducive to cultivating cutting-edge material research methods and academic thought of graduate students,and improving their professional English and English reading/writing skills.Based on the author's experience in English teaching in recent years,this paper focuses on the characteristics of“Materials Characterization and Measurement”,elaborates the necessity of English teaching and points out the problems encountered during the course implementation.On this basis,this paper puts forward some feasible solutions,directing the way for English teaching model for other courses.
