Objective:To investigate the effect of repetitive low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with Agomelatine on elderly patients with depression and its effect on serum norepinephrine(NE)and serotonin(5-HT)levels.Method:From January to December 2019,64 elderly patients with depression aged over 60 years were selected and divided into the control group and the experimental group by coin flipping method,32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Agomelatine, and the experimental group was treated with repeated low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with Agomelatine. After treatment, the clinical efficacy, serum NE,5-HT levels and depression of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate in the experimental group(87.5%)was higher than that in the control group(65.62%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of NE and 5-HT in the experimental group after treatment were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)scores in the experimental group after four and eight weeks of treatment were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Repeated low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with Agomelatine has a significant effect in the treatment of elderly patients with depression, which can improve the level of NE and 5-HT and improve the depression.
