作为纪念物的数字移动媒介:德布雷视野下的媒介与遗产传承

Digital Mobile Media as Memorial:Media and Heritage in Mediology

"遗产热"现象常被解释为新媒介冲击下对地方的应激保护,预设了城市遗产与媒介技术的对立,德布雷的媒介学为我们提供了消除这一对立的另一解释路径。本文梳理德布雷对媒介与遗产传承的理解,据此探讨当前遗产传承的新状况并理解数字移动媒介在其中的意义。德布雷将历史纪念物视为传承媒介,指出视频圈中主导媒介趋于非物质化,即时主义使遗产成为视觉展示。沿着这一思路,本文认为,当前数字移动媒介作为移动设备与遗产相互嵌入,并对人们的身体实践信息进行自动存档,形成注重参与体验、持续叠加记忆的新传承状态。数字移动媒介在此重新浮现其物质性,并成为纪念物之一,为当前的文明传承提供现在与过往的联系和对遗产的持续创造。

The phenomenon that heritage becomes a hot topic is usually explained as the protection of a local place in the threaten of new media.This explanation presupposes the conflicts between urban heritage and media technology.Debray’s Mediology provides another explanation.In this paper,I depict Debray’s understanding of media and heritage,and discuss the current situation of heritage and the significance of digital mobile media accordingly.Debray regards historical memorials as media of transmission,and claims that the immaterialization of the dominated media in videosphere turns heritage into visual display.Following his thoughts,I state that digital mobile media interacts with heritage in material and automatically archives the data of embodied practices,resulting in the emphasis of public participation and the continuous superposition of memories in current heritage.Digital mobile media reveals its materiality and is now a historical memorial,contributing to the cultural transmission with its connection between the past and the present and to the ongoing recreation of heritage.
