摘要
《新材料》是材料化学专业课程,主要讲授与近代各种高新技术相关联的具有各种特殊性能的材料知识。《新材料》的中英双语教学已经在我校开展19年。根据这些年来的教学实践,作者认为英汉双语教学不是简单地理解为人们常说的"用外语上课",而是在教学的过程中逐步地提高英语的比重的动态过程。这样既不影响学生对课程知识的学习和掌握,同时又提高了他们的英语思考和应用能力。教学效果得到学生的认可好评,作者多次获得教学质量优秀奖和教学成果奖。
Advanced Materials Course for students majored in material chemistry is about the materials with advanced function and properties.The purpose of Advanced Materials Course with bilingual teaching with English and Chinese is to make students have the ability to use the knowledge in both modes of thinking,which has been conducted in Foshan University for 18 years.According to our teaching experience,bilingual teaching should increase the ratio of English step by step during lecturing,rather than simply regarded as teaching solely using foreign language.Bilingual teaching in this way achieves an impressive result that is widely accepted by the students.Therefore,the teacher has gained a few high quality teaching awards.
