荀子大一统思想探赜

Xunzi Thought Deeply

春秋战国时期,诸侯争霸,民不聊生。至战国后期,仍然是诸侯异政,百家异说,常常为社会动乱火上浇油。然而,统一的曙光若隐若现。尽快结束诸侯割据争战状态,使天下归于一统,已成为大势所趋、民心所向。这样的形势,急需在前期百家争鸣的基础上进行新的整合与提升,形成大一统思想,为一统天下提供理论准备。顺应这样的大势,诸子思想的集大成者荀子应运而生。荀子因应时代发展的要求,总结、批判、吸收诸子百家之说,融会贯通,从百家异说到学术归宗,卓有成效地进行了一统天下的理论建构。作为一个道、法、儒、墨结合的学术体系,荀学不拘一门博采众长,赢得“诸子大成”的美誉。在从诸侯异政到天下一统的过程中,荀子的大一统思想有力地促进了天下一统的进程。
