Many factors were involved in the design of triple media filter.the design of the filter bed and the water collection and distribution system and the backwashing system is directly related to the filtration performance and efficiency of the filter.Through the analysis of the engineering application and operation experience of triple media filter,many aspects were discussed in this paper such as the design of the filter bed,the selection and gradation of filter material,the water collection and distribution system,the design of backwashing system and the selection of design parameters,which can help the engineers and technicians with the design and expansion of triple media filter.
