摘要 设计了一种新型光纤折射率传感器,阶梯式横向大偏置结构光纤马赫-曾德尔干涉仪。理论分析了这种新型干涉仪的原理和折射率传感特性,以及各种因素对折射率传感特性的影响;并在一种实芯光子晶体光纤中制备了此种新型干涉仪,搭建实验系统,测试了折射率传感特性。实验结果表明:中间光子晶体光纤长约327μm的新型光纤干涉仪的透射谱,对环境介质折射率变化的响应呈线性,透射谱随着环境介质折射率的增大向短波方向移动,灵敏度超过-4614.9 nm·RIU^-1。阶梯式横向大偏置结构光纤MZI折射率传感器具有结构紧凑、灵敏度高、响应速度快等许多优点,而且制备和探测简便,因此值得进一步研究和探索。 A new-type optical fiber refractive index sensor is designed,which is a staged large lateral offset structure fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer.The interference principle and refractive index sensing characteristics of the new-type interferometer are studied theoretically,and various factors affecting the refractive index sensing characteristics are also studied.The new-type interferometer is fabricated in the photonic crystal fiber(PCF)with solid core,and its refractive index sensing characteristics are tested with a built-up experimental system.The results show that,the transmission spectral of the new-type fiber interferometer with 327μm intermediate PCF shows linear response to the variation of external refractive index,and the transmission spectral shifts toward the short wavelength with the increasing of refractive index of external medium.The refractive index sensitivity of the new-type fiber refractive index sensor exceeds-4614.9 nm·RIU^-1.The staged large lateral offset structure fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer has many advantages,such as compactness,high sensitivity,quick response,and simplicity for fabrication and detection;therefore,it is worth further research and exploration.
