安定与关中方言"阿"字用法的异同可以从中古以来汉语共同语里找到理据。"阿公"是安定及关中方言对公公的述称。安定方言的"阿里、阿搭"是"哪里"的意思,关中方言不用"阿里",而用"阿搭";安定方言的"阿搭"指称的范围小,指代相对比较具体,关中方言的"阿搭"指称的范围大,指代不一定具体。

The similarities and differences in the usage of the character"Ah"in Anding and Guanzhong dialects can be found in the common language of Chinese since the Middle Ages."Agong"is the name of one’s husband’s father used by wife in Anding and Guanzhong dialects,while"Ali"and"Ata"in Anding refer to"where"but in Guanzhong dialect only"ata"is used to refer to"where".In the Anding dialect,"ata"refers to a small range and is relatively specific,whereas in the Guanzhong dialect,"ata"refers to a large range and is not necessarily specific.
