冯师英是迄今所见首个因出土墓志证实的唐长安西市令。《冯师英墓志》的发现,为研究唐代长安西市及丝路贸易提供了新的资料。与此同时,因其志主为唐初著名书法家冯承素之父,故从一出土,也引起了一些书法爱好者对此志书者的高度关注。

Feng Shiying is the first edict of the Tang Chang’an West Market that has been confirmed by an unearthed tombstone.The discovery of this tombstone provides new information for the study of the West Market of Chang’an in the Tang Dynasty and the Silk Road trade.At the same time,as the owner of the tomb is the father of Feng Chengsu,a famous calligrapher of the early Tang Dynasty,the discovery of this tombstone has attracted great attention to the epitaph writer from calligraphy enthusiasts.
