As a traditional drama style,the pure and bold artistic exploration of the newly-written drama“Chun Qiu Er Xu”by Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe is commendable.First of all,the play has demonstrated a solid exploration of human nature around Wu Zixu's personality tragedy,presenting a sublime aesthetic experience.Secondly,the character design of the play breaks the stereotypical thinking pattern,and presents a more layered type.In the end,the play is exquisitely performed and has a strong sense of vivid expression which makes it simple in language but profound in meaning.Of course,the play needs to be improved in terms of its core aesthetic design around the sublime,but its merits outshine its demerits by far."Chun Qiu Er Xu" has elevated the modern art exploration of traditional Peking Opera to a new height.
