外部调任校长与高校创新绩效——基于我国114所“211高校”的实证研究

摘要 基于我国114所“211高校”2007—2016年的学科数据和校长相关履历数据,利用马氏距离配对的倾向得分匹配方法(PSM)系统分析了外部调任校长对于高校创新绩效的影响。结果表明:相对内部提拔而言,外部调任校长能够显著提升高校的创新绩效,而其影响主要体现在科研论文产出方面;异质性分析发现,就高校类型而言,外部调任校长对高校创新绩效的积极影响主要存在于“211高校”中的非“985高校”;就校长个人特征而言,高学历、男性外部调任校长更能促进高校创新水平的提升。从微观层面证实了外部调任校长对高校创新绩效提升效应的存在,对“双一流”背景下我国大学校长的选拔和管理、中西部高等教育的振兴等提供了一定的理论依据和政策启示。 Based on the discipline data and relevant resume data of president from"211"universities in China,using the method of PSM to analyse the influence of externally transferred president of the innovation performance of universities.The results show that compared with internal promotion,externally transferred president can significantly improve the innovation performance of universities,and its impact is mainly reflected on the output of scientific research papers.The heterogeneity analysis shows that,in terms of the types of universities,the positive influence of externally transferred president of the innovation performance mainly exists on non"985"universities.In terms of the personal characteristics of president,higher education and male externally transferred president can promote the innovation of universities.This paper proves the existence of the effect of externally transferred president of the improvement to innovation performance of universities from the micro level,and provides certain theoretical basis and policy inspiration for the selection and management of university principals in China and the revitalization of higher education in the central and western regions under the background of"Double Top-Class".
