御医陈莲舫辨治江南时病瘟疫

Imperial Doctor CHEN Lianfang Discriminated and Treated Seasonal Diseases and Pestilences in the Southern Yangtze

清末名医陈莲舫,青浦十九代世医,医术高超。光绪年间五次应征入京为德宗诊治,颁赐"恩荣五召"堂额。陈氏崇尚经典,批校医籍;按察时令,运用五运六气详审时病;身处水乡,深入辨析瘟疫和温病。陈氏精于时病、瘟疫的辨治,为上海乃至江南地区的医药发展作出了贡献。他留世的诸多医案、批注中,在新型冠状病毒肺炎流行之当下,仍有不少处方用药、诊治思想值得进一步研究。

CHEN Lianfang with superb medical skills,a famous physician in the late Qing Dynasty,was also the 19 th descendant of the Qingpu medical family.During the reign of emperor Guangxu,he was invited to Beijing for the diagnosis of Dezong for five times,being awarded with the inscription"five times honored by the emperor’s grace".He admired the classics with annotation medical books,reviews on seasonal diseases in detail,exploring the rules of five movements and six climates.In the villages of river regions,he also distinguished between pestilences and epidemic febrile diseases.CHEN Lianfang was proficient in the discrimination and treatment of seasonal diseases and pestilences,making contributions to the development of medicine in Shanghai and even the southern Yangtze river area.He left a lot of medical records and comments,especially in the current epidemic of COVID-19.It is worth studying on his prescription medication,diagnosis and treatment ideas.
