认知图式视域下商务隐喻链的意义充实机制及其翻译策略研究

On the Meaning Construing Mechanisms and Translation Strategies of Business Metaphorical Chains:A Cognitive Schema View

文章基于认知语言学理论,通过对《经济学人》语料库(2010—2018)中的典型案例进行分析与归纳,探讨认知图式视域下商务隐喻链的意义充实机制及其翻译策略。文章在提出并诠释商务隐喻链概念的基础上,阐释了认知图式视域下商务隐喻链的语境激活图式、图式空槽填充、图式意义同化、图式意义调和等意义充实机制,并探讨了理据推理策略、充实凸显策略、同化顺应策略、调和建构策略等相应的翻译策略。商务隐喻链的提出为商务隐喻研究提供了新的视角。

By drawing on cognitive linguistics,this study analyzes some typical cases selected from the self-built corpus made up by The Economist(2010-2018)with the aim to explore possible meaning construing mechanisms and the corresponding translation strategies of business metaphorical chains under the governance of cognitive schema.By proposing and defining the term of business metaphorical chains,we propose that the meaning construing mechanisms of business metaphorical chains could be analyzed with typical cases under the governance of cognitive schema,namely,activating the context,filling the slots,assimilating and accommodating the meaning;as a result,such mechanisms can provide the corresponding translation strategies as reasoning motivation,construing prominence,assimilating adaptation and accommodating construction.This study takes a new view for business metaphor research.
