The transformer error and volt ampere characteristic tester is a special instrument for testing the transform⁃er's volt ampere characteristic.It is a professional instrument for relay protection test and high voltage insulation test.The name and parameters of this kind of instrument vary from manufacturer to manufacturer,but the basic error as its basic function is the standard configuration of this kind of instrument.Therefore,this paper started from the electro⁃magnetic measurement specialty and took the basic error of the voltage transformer as an example to calibrate and an⁃alyze this part of functions,so as to achieve the purpose of traceability of the quantity value.
