地中海贫血铁过载与糖尿病发病机制研究进展

Research progress on iron overload in thalassemia and the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus

地中海贫血是某个或多个珠蛋白基因异常引起一个或多个珠蛋白链合成率减低,导致珠蛋白链合成的不平衡所引起的一组遗传性溶血性疾病,是人类最常见的单基因疾病。地中海贫血患者由于多种因素的作用易发生铁过载,目前研究认为铁过载是导致糖尿病发生的因素之一。本文从地中海贫血铁过载的特点、铁过载对糖尿病的发病机制研究及祛铁治疗的新进展等方面予以综述。因此,在控制血糖的基础上,辅以祛铁可能成为治疗糖尿病的新手段。

Thalassemia is a group of hereditary hemolytic diseases caused by the imbalance of globin chain synthesis caused by one or more globin gene abnormalities.It is the most common single gene disease in human.Patients with destitute diabetes are prone to pig iron overload due to a variety of factors.This paper reviews the characteristics of iron overload,the research on the pathogenesis of iron overload in diabetes mellitus,and the new progress of iron removal therapy.Therefore,on the basis of blood sugar control,supplemented by iron may become a new method to treat diabetes.
