儒林翘楚 文史巨擘——略述陕北地方史家曹思聪先生的学术成就

A Brief Discussion on Academia Achievements of Cao Sicong Who is a the Local Historian in Northern Shannxi

曹思聪(1888—1962),陕西榆林人,20世纪初,东渡日本求学时接触到西夏学。三四十年代,参加边疆学会,出版《西夏传》、《延绥揽胜》。1959年,编成《西夏文史荟存》。他是早期西夏学的先驱者之一。他首次在《横山县志》中立《西夏传》,开县志为西夏立传之先河。他的《延绥揽胜》、《横山县志》等著作是研究陕北历史地理的重要典籍。

Cao Sicong(1888—1962)was from Yulin,Shaanxi.He came into contact with the Tangut Study when he went to Japan to study in the early 20th Century.In the 1930s and 1940s,he joined the Frontier Society,then published Tangut Biography and Scenic Review of Yansui.In 1959,he edited Collection of Tangut Literature and History.he was one of the early pioneer of Tangut study.He wrote Tangut Biography in Hengshan County Annals for the first time.His works are important literatures to research the history and geography of the Northern Shaanxi.
