The Influence of the Great Court Events in the 14th Year of Yuan He Dynasty on Bai Juyi’s Poems in Zhongzhou

唐宪宗元和十四年(819)三月二十八日白居易到达忠州任刺史,在任期间,他写下了大量诗歌,其主要特点一是记写政事的作品平和简淡,二是以个人生活为主题的作品普遍渗透着乐少愁多的诗情。这种情状的出现除个人仕途际遇的原因之外,也与朝廷发生的大事件有很大关系。正是朝廷的大事件与白居易自身的仕宦遭遇共同作用,塑造了白居易忠州时期的诗歌表达形式及情感方向。

On March 28,the 14th year of Yuanhe reign of emperor Xianzong of Tang Dynasty,Bai Juyi arrived in Zhongzhou.He wrote a large number of poems,the main characteristics of his poems are as follows:the poems on political affairs are peaceful and simple,and the works on the theme of personal life are generally permeated with the poetic feelings of sorrow.The appearance of this situation in addition to the cause of personal career,also has a lot to do with the great events of the court.It was the great events of the court and Bai Juyi’s official experience that shaped his poetic expression and emotional direction.
