Compared with mineral insulation oil,plant insulation oil is superior in high flash and ignition point,fire prevention,natural degradation ability and high electrical insulation characteristics,making it a green substitute for mineral oil.This paper mainly introduces the application and development of plant insulating oil transformer at home and abroad,and compares and analyzes the plant and mineral insulating oil transformer in terms of the the advantages and limitations,the difference in operation and maintenance,test situation and oil temperature monitoring,etc.,providing reference for the further application of plant insulating oil transformers.
