The Analysis of Narrative Skills in Young Goodman Brown

Young Goodman Brown is Hawthorn’s very important short story.However,many people may know little about it.The author believes that the narrative methods,the use of several images,and the characterization of the protagonist Goodman Brown are the three most important narrative skills in this story.Therefore,this study aims to analyze the story from these three aspects to help readers have a basic understanding of the story and its theme.Hawthorne uses the well-designed narration to elucidate the work perfectly and reveal the human’s original sin,which leads the readers to think of the sin and its horrible consequences further.
