Wang Tingxiang was a famous official of Kaifeng in Mid Ming Dynasty.He advocated practical use,and his thought and practice have distinct characteristics of seeking truth from facts.In the aspect of anti-corruption,he paid attention to investigation and research,and put people foremost;in military affairs,he chose generals to establish military base,especially good at selecting and employing people;in the practice of starting school,he advocated the application of knowledge,and the combination of culture and military;in ideology,he stressed the unity of knowledge and action,and the priority of behavior.Being practical provides a historical reference for the current thought and principle of seeking truth from facts.
