摘要
研究型大学的教师质量是提高人才培养质量、实现"双一流"建设目标的关键。"海归教师"被公认为是"学得好"的人才而被高校所青睐,但"学得好"是否意味着"教得好",这一问题却鲜有基于实证研究的结论。以国内某"双一流"建设研究型大学为研究对象,比较海归教师与本土教师在本科生教学质量方面的差异,研究发现:海归教师与本土教师在教学态度、教学方法、教学效果以及总体评价方面并不存在显著差异,且随着入职时间的推移始终没有显著差异;来校时间越晚的海归教师入职时的教学质量更高,经济管理学科中的海归教师在教学态度和教学效果方面均显著差于本土教师,社会科学学科中的海归教师在教学态度、教学方法、教学效果以及整体教学质量方面均显著更优,这种差异随着入职时间的增加而不断缩小;"非升即走"聘任机制的教师教学质量显著更低,但同一聘任机制下海归教师与本土教师在教学质量方面无显著差异。
The quality of faculties in research universities plays a key role in achieving the goal of"double first-class".Although"overseas returnees"are generally more favored by research universities,there are few unified empirical evidences on whether overseas returnees are better in undergraduates’teaching than local faculties.This paper compares the differences in undergraduate teaching quality between returnees and local faculties in a double first-class research university in China and the results show that:there is no significant difference in teaching attitude,teaching method,teaching effectiveness and overall evaluation between overseas returnees and local faculties,and the insignificant difference does not change with working experience;the later the returnees are employed by the university,the higher the teaching quality;the teaching attitude and teaching effectiveness of overseas returnees in economic and management discipline are significantly worse than those of local faculties;the overseas returnees of social sciences are significantly better in terms of teaching attitude,teaching methods,teaching effectiveness and overall teaching quality,and this difference is constantly narrowing with the working experience;the teaching quality of faculties in tenure track is significantly lower,but there is no significant difference in teaching quality between returnees and local faculties within the same employment track.
