李平教授提出“元气化生异常,内生瘤毒”是恶性肿瘤形成的根本原因,“毒至正衰”是瘤毒致病的显著特点,“毒生病络”是瘤毒增殖迁移的基础,基于对晚期胃癌发生发展、传变转归的认识,其提出了“扶正气、清瘤毒、调病络”的治疗理念,以达到改善晚期胃癌患者的生活质量,最大限度地延长其“带瘤生存”时间的目的。
