Ms Shafei's Diary attempts to complete the construction of female self-subjective identity through the construction of female discourse.However,Shafei as the discourse subject experiences the double dilemma of external and internal alienation in the process of seeking herself.She is unable to communicate with the surrounding world and maintain a stable relationship with herself,producing surviving anxiety.Though trying to defend with"false self"and"loneliness",she is gradually moving to an abnormal schizophrenic state.The text epitomizes modern women's survival dilemma in the awakening represented by Shafei.
