City is a comprehensive space for human survival and development.The construction of marine central city is one of the important ways to realize the coordinated development of urban construction and marine economy in China.The construction of an international marine center city during the“14th Five-year”Plan period is an inevitable option for opening a new journey of socialist modernization,and also helps to promote the coordinated and balanced development of Jiangsu coastal areas.Therefore,it is necessary to give full play to the geographical advantages and function driving advantages of Lianyungang,reasonably plan the coastal urban space of Jiangsu province,effectively integrate,allocate and share market resources and urban functional elements,so as to realize the coordinated development of eastern coastal urban belt and regional economy and society.
